Keeping it simple

After having a little skin care revamp and deciding to adopt the new motto, of spending 90% of my beauty routine on skin care and 10% on makeup, I'm starting by investing and trailing a selection of different skin care options.

I've been into Micellar waters for a while now, I've tried the Bioderma, Garnier, and a month or so ago, tried Simple's Micellar Cleansing Water. I really like these to take makeup off and cut through any grease and grime from the day. Simple's Micellar water is the best value for money on the high street, to be honest, I can't tell any difference between this and the Bioderma equivalent that's nearly 6 times as expensive!

To remove stronger eye makeup, sometimes the Micellar water doesn't quite do the trick, so I've been trying the Simple Eye Make Up Remover to ensure panda eyes are kept at bay! It's kind to the skin, doesn't irritate and removes eye makeup cleanly. Waterproof makeup takes a little bit of elbow grease...

Although Micellar waters are great to take makeup off, they don't cleanse down into the skin, so it's important to find a good, gentle cleanser to give you a deep clean. Lately, I've been loving the Simple Purifying Cleansing Lotion - it's gentle, leave my skin feeling clean and fresh and removes any last traces of makeup from my skin.

I'll be looking at toners, serums and moisturisers in separate posts in the skin care series, so watch this space!
